P90X2 is no ordinary sequel. It is the result of two years of R&D conducted by a team of the most qualified experts in fitness. It is training so cutting edge, so outrageously effective, you’ll be blown away by your visible results. AND your performance.

P90X® is based on Muscle Confusion to break through normal 30-day training plateaus so you get results fast. P90X2 ups the ante with a training technique developed by professional sports trainers for world class results: P.A.P., or Post-Activation Potentiation. Don’t try to remember the word, just remember that it works. Like crazy.

With P90X2, you get 12 groundbreaking workouts focused on chiseling your body while building your balance, agility, core strength, and athleticism. It includes new customization with an all-new, highly flexible Nutrition Guide to help you excel.

THIS, is training. Better training than most pro athletes get. The kind of cross-training that separates posers from performers. And with emphasis on your abs/core, powerful athletic function, and lightning-bolt agility, it’ll help you blast through your plateaus.

P90X2 is available for purchase from any of the coaches pictured at right. You can also join one of their Beachbody Challenge groups to maximize the effectiveness of your workouts.

Join the club! I can do P90X2 and I love it, but it will catch up to me eventually and I certainly won’t do it to the best of my ability. So what am I going to do? In my case, I have felt like you know what over the last almost 7 months. That is until about 10 days ago when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Disease, which actually is a fairly common thyroid disorder. I started taking these little white pills every morning and I am gradually coming back to life (picture a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade float being inflated, except that I begin to deflate over night and have to be re-inflated again the next morning.)

That means that I have to start at the proverbial square one more or less in terms of fitness and strength and not do P90X2. Am I being wimpy? No, I am actually being smart for a change and not being cavalier. P90X2 is that good and that challenging that I want to get the most out of it. So what’s the plan? I am going to do about a month of Power 90, which believe it or not I have never done except for a few workout here and there. Then I am going to do about a month of P90X before starting the X2 (what I affectionately call P90X2) on about March 1st, which is a Thursday.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way and I am going to find a way to do P90X2 – even at 61!

I’m sure one of Beachbody’s huge collection of programs will work for each of you, but if you want to know specifically whether that right one is P90X2, read on. Continued…

Everyone wants to know how we went about breaking down the P90X® Nutrition Guide and rebuilding it into the P90X2 Nutrition Guide. After all, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?

In a way, that’s true. Just as Steve Austin was a great astronaut before Oscar Goldman and the OSO spent $6 million to turn him into the Bionic Man, the P90X guide is still a great resource. However, you, our customers, have changed. We’ve spent the last 9 years watching you evolve into better, stronger, faster fitness fanatics. Our job was the make sure the guide evolved with you. Our job was to make a bionic nutrition plan.

When P90X first came out, Beachbody® had a fairly uniform customer base. Today, however, our customers come from all walks of life, so we need to address a much broader spectrum of needs. For example, a 105-pound mother of five just isn’t going to have the same nutritional requirements as a professional basketballer. (Everyone knows the mom’s life would be much more physically challenging.)

Furthermore, our original customers, after one or more rounds of P90X, with possibly a little INSANITY® thrown in for good measure, have become incredibly aware of their nutritional needs. They’ve learned exactly how much protein, carbs, and fat they need to perform. They’ve also started experimenting with various nutritional philosophies. Although I’m neither a vegan nor a primal eater, the sheer volume of questions about each on the Team Beachbody® Message Boards has forced me to become an expert on both.

So we took these factors, combined them with the latest research, and voila ! Welcome to the P90X2 Fuel Your Performance Nutrition Guide, a collection of 27 different subplans, among which you’ll hopefully find a way of eating that works for you. Continued…

Someone just ordered Power Half Hour from my website and it made me realize that right now in some people’s lives, P90X is out of the question. I know that it is hard to believe, but there was life before P90X. What did people do then? They did workouts that were plenty hard and plenty effective. They took their bodies from where they were, to, in some cases, places that they thought they could never go in terms of fitness, weight loss and health. P90X is, of course, a one of a kind workout experience and will never be replaced for some of us, even after P90X2 comes out.

So what are some options if P90X is too much for you? In order of difficulty from easier to harder, here are some choices that you can make:

Power Half Hour: Each workout combines both cardio and targeted body sculpting for maximum results in just 30 minutes a day. The Power Half Hour program includes 5 fast and effective fat-burning and muscle-toning videos for your key areas: abs, thighs, buns, arms, chest, and shoulders. The program is so versatile, you can customize it to fit your training needs and target your trouble spots!

Power 90: Fat burning and total-body sculpting focused on abs, thighs, and upper body. With trainer Tony Horton. This in-home boot camp for dramatic body transformation uses Tony’s Sectional Progression™ technique, which give you an effective workout in as little as 30 minutes!

10 Minute Trainer: The secret behind Tony Horton’s 10-Minute Training System is his breakthrough Super Stacking Technique™ using resistance bands. He combined his most effective moves into each 10-minute workout. Here’s how it works: instead of starting with your cardio, then working your different body parts one at a time like most long workouts, they are stacked, so you get your fat-burning cardio, total-body toning and sculpting, and abs workouts at the same time — in just 10 minutes.

My personal choices are 10 Minute Trainer and P90X+ (I have already finished P90X multiple times). TMT is effective and especially useful if you are training for a sport and don’t have time to do two full workouts. P90X+ is advanced, but the workouts are shorter and very effective.

I’ve seen this posted on Twitter and Facebook but could not independently verify it, but apparently Tony Horton will be on Dr. Oz this afternoon. I hope that is true because it should make for a lively show.

I saw this posted on MyFitnessPal, so they don’t exactly agree on things, “Tony Horton says to stay away from coffee and Dr oz says 6 cups a day for men to help prevent prostate cancer.”

What better place to share this blog post that I wrote for my Team Beachbody Coach blog. Since so many people buy bootleg copies of P90X and support the Chinese economy, here are some things to ponder:

I am a voracious reader when it comes to faith, family and fitness and Thursday I read an article in the New York Times that I find disturbing. It is entitled, “China’s Next Revolution Is in Fitness” which on the surface doesn’t seem that interesting or significant but this line from the article does, “The government preaches that only a nation of strong bodies is truly strong.” The Chinese government is telling its citizens to have strong bodies. My understanding is that in China, when the government tells you to do something, you do it.

Why is that so disturbing? Here are a few things that we should all know.

China, with 1,339,724,852 people has 19.23% of the world population

China has the world’s second largest economy (until 2020)

China has an external debt ranking at #153 or $274.62 per capita

China has overall rates of obesity below 5% in the country

China ranks second in life expectancy

China spends $224 per capita on healthcare

Here are some comparisons that we should think about:

The US with 312,417,000 people has 4.48% of the world population

The US has the world’s largest economy (until 2020)

The US has an external debt ranking at #20 or $48,258 per capita

The US has the highest obesity rate in the world at 33.8%

The US ranks 36th in life expectancy

The US spends $7,439 per capita on healthcare

I am a member of a community started by a company that wants to end the trend of obesity in this country. From the numbers above it isn’t hard to see that we are not #1 in most categories that would indicate whether a country is strong or not. China not only wants to have a strong country, but they want a strong country populated with strong bodies. They currently are third in terms of global firepower and they have almost a million more troops than we have. In the US, because of a tough economy, fertility rates have been dropping since 2008…

Do you want to settle for #2 or worse or do we want to be a strong, healthy country of strong bodies that can invest $7,000 of the money that we are now spending on healthcare on technology and making the world a safer place?

If you want to be #1, then do the things that you need to do to be healthy and have a strong body – work out regularly, eat nutritiously and make positive lifestyle choices. We’re in this together and together we’re better!

Please join me today in the Team Beachbody community and put us back on the road to being #1 and safeguarding our freedoms and our lifestyle. Your journey to a strong body starts by clicking here…
