The P90X Philosophy

P90X raises the bar to a new level of fitness for every in-home workout program ever created. How does P90X work and what can you expect from P90X?
Two words: Muscle Confusion. By providing an extensive variety of different moves that take time to master, P90X is continually challenging the body’s muscles into new growth. The more you confuse the muscle, the harder your body has to work to keep up; the more variety you put into your workout, the better and faster your results will be.

The flaw with many fitness products is that they all lead to a “plateau” where the body becomes accustomed to the routines, resulting in diminished effectiveness. P90X avoids this plateau effect by switching things up to keep the body guessing for the entire 90 days. Which means IT NEVER GETS EASY. By breaking old routines and opening new doors, secondary and tertiary muscles are constantly being activated and developed.

You can expect to develop skills, coordination, and flexibility you never dreamed possible. You can expect to sharpen your knowledge of smart eating and discover healthy diet choices. And you can expect to sweat. A lot.

I am not sure how in the world you can do 2x a day. I am athletic and 1 time kills me. Follow the program…

Who said that you “had to” do the program 2 times a day if you are getting good results from one.

    Campy,
how’s your diet and sleep? Also how’s your stress?
These will affect your progress on losing belly fat. Try to be very strict with your sleep Min of 7 hours but more than 8 recommended.
Your diet, even if you are doing well, by all means, AVOID High Fructose Corn Syrup!
Stress is one of the leading causes of belly fat in men. Try to chill out.Enjoy your workout.

I work as a bartender during the day, and bellydance 2 days per week. I started putting on weight really quickly after I stopped smoking 3 years ago and haven’t been able to drop it since. Will this program truely work for me?

I am only able to do this program 4 times per week due to my work schedule. I work 12 hour night shifts and have children, so the days that I work, I don’t exercise. Would this program still work for me only being able to do it 4 times per week??
